On the 14th February Siphokazi Jonas was with Dr Diana Ferrus  appearing in the work 

 “From Broken Bones to Healing Hearts: My Journey with Sarah Baartman”

 The Performance Lecture was held at the Star Theatre, Homecoming Centre in Cape Town.

Internationally renowned poet and storyteller Diana Ferrus delivered a performance lecture about her spiritual and emotional journey with Sarah Baartman and how she got to write her famous poem “I’ve Come to Take You Home” which contributed to the repatriation of Sarah Baartman’s remains to South Africa from the Muséum National d’Histoire Naturelle in Paris, France in 2002.

 Siphokazi Jonas is a renowned South African poet and she performed before the State of the Nation Address in South Africa’s parliament in 2021.

 Both Diana Ferrus and Siphokazi Jonas are Poetry Africa’s Featured Poets presented by the Centre for Creative Arts at the University of KwaZulu-Natal.
