The year kicked off in overdrive for Steve Louw, the man behind some of the last decades’ seminal bands, albums and songs that legitimise his creative calibre. All Night Radio, Big Sky and an ever-growing library of solo releases in his armoury, two exceptional live performances are confirmed.

Louw will be sharing the stage with the likes of Midge Ure (Ultravox), Tom Bailey (Thompson Twins), Clout’s Cindy Alter and Tree 63’s John Ellis, amongst others, at Mark’s Park, Emmarentia in Gauteng on the 15^th of February, at the UK’s legendary ‘Let’s Rock’ music festival, marking his first live performance in a while.

For those unable to make the trip up country, Steve Louw and band will also take over Daisy Jones’ Bar in Stellenbosch for a rare, one-night-only live performance on Friday, 21 February 2025.

On both occasions, fans of Steve’s vast catalogue will get to enjoy his 90s and nulls perennial favourites, as well as tracks from his three more recent albums, 2021’s Headlight Dreams, Late 2022’s Thunder and Rain and 2024’s Between Time, all featuring some of the biggest names in music, the calibre of Joe Bonamassa, Midnight Oil’s Jim Moginie and a host of many other heavyweight players.

While both performances may be long overdue, Daisy Jones’ Bar’s show promises to be a highlight, offering a full set and assured encores when Steve unleashes a wall of sound upon longstanding fans and the newly curious, which will resonate long after the show’s over.

Think “Waiting For The Dawn,” “Mr. Green,” “Wind In Your Hair,” “One Cut With A Knife,” and “Crazy River,” and among many others—these stalwart greats will energise the crowd and resonate with punters when played. “I’m really looking forward to playing at Daisy Jones with Big Sky, one of the hardest rocking bands in the land.”

This gig becomes even more special as the show will be filmed and recorded for a live release.
