Hosted by Music Exchange founder Martin Myers, this weekly half-hour segment provides powerful insight into the minds and careers of award-winning creatives, with a strong emphasis on the business side of the creative industries.

Each episode is a candid, focused conversation between Myers and a creative professional from music, theatre, design, sport, or media marketing. Myers says the aim is always to deliver content that is both entertaining and inspirational, enriched with first-person accounts, real-world advice, and invaluable lessons from those who have built sustainable careers in their craft.

โ€œWe bring key executives and trailblazers onto the station to explore every aspect of their entertainment business reality. We ultimately unpack what it takes to make a living in this space,โ€ says Myers.

CapeTalk Station Manager Tessa van Staden adds that the station is dedicated to supporting creatives. โ€œArtists, musicians, sculptors, performers, directors and authors hold a mirror to society to reflect who and what we are. They play one of the most difficult and important roles, often without the necessary backing and resources. This segment shares practical tips for those starting out, while championing those who have paved the way.โ€

For insights into the business side of creativity that you wonโ€™t find anywhere else, donโ€™t miss The Business of Entertainment every Thursday at 21:00.
