Harari was a pioneering South African band that emerged in the late 1960s, initially known as The Beaters. They achieved widespread acclaim in the 1970s and 1980s for their distinctive fusion of African rhythms, funk, and disco. The band’s innovative sound and energetic performances propelled them to stardom in South Africa and neighbouring countries, making them one of the first black pop/rock bands to grace South African television screens.
