On 12 May 2026, legendary British synth-pop pioneers The Human League will bring their iconic sound to the Grand Arena at GrandWest Casino and Entertainment World, delivering a night of pure 80s nostalgia – complete with the anthems that defined a generation.

From the unmistakable opening notes of “Don’t You Want Me” to the shimmering synths of “Human”, “Together in Electric Dreams”, “Mirror Man” and “(Keep Feeling) Fascination”, fans can expect a hit-filled set that transports audiences straight back to the golden age of MTV, neon lights, and unforgettable pop hooks. 

Formed in Sheffield in 1977, The Human League became one of the most influential electronic bands of all time, shaping the sound of modern pop music. Their 1981 album Dare changed the landscape of British music, and decades later, their songs remain timeless fixtures on radio playlists and dance floors across the world – including right here in South Africa.

Joining them as special guests are fellow UK synth-pop favourites Blancmange, whose cult classics “Living on the Ceiling”, “Blind Vision” and “Don’t Tell Me” have earned them a devoted global following. Known for their distinctive blend of electronic beats and art-pop flair, Blancmange perfectly complement the evening’s retro celebration.

For Cape Town audiences who grew up in the 80s – and for younger fans discovering the magic of analogue synths and drum machines – this concert promises more than just a live show.
