On Saturday, 12 September, some of South Africa’s most celebrated rock and blues musicians reunite for Further On Up The Road, an extraordinary evening of timeless music at the iconic Daisy Jones at Summerhill Wines.

Following last year’s sold-out success, this year’s concert promises an even bigger celebration of South African rock heritage, outstanding musicianship and unforgettable live performance.

Leading the bill is legendary singer-songwriter Steve Louw & Big Sky, whose internationally acclaimed new album Traces of the Flood has been receiving exceptional reviews from around the world.

Released only weeks ago, the album has already earned widespread praise from leading international publications, with Classic Rock Magazine awarding it 8/10, Blues Matters describing Louw as “a first-class songwriter”, Tinnitist calling it “one of the strongest records of his long career”, while Americana Highways, Rock The Joint Magazine, the South African Rock Encyclopedia and ELO founder Bev Bevan have all hailed it as one of the year’s finest releases.

Joining Louw are the legendary Blues Broers, featuring the blistering guitar work of Albert Frost, delivering their trademark mix of Chicago blues, rock ’n roll and Cape Town soul.

Returning by popular demand are All Night Radio, whose irresistible blend of roots rock, blues and country made them one of last year’s standout performances.

Adding exciting new energy to the evening is the Hugo Veldsman Trio, making their debut at the festival with an impressive combination of blues, folk and contemporary rock influences.
