It’s time to get the party started as one of South Africa’s most loved vocal groups, 3 Tons of Fun, begin the countdown to an extraordinary milestone — 20 years of music, friendship and FUN!

Sthe Mfuphi, Michelle Thomas and Bulelwa Sakayi first took to the stage together in 2007. Nearly two decades later, their friendship, powerhouse voices and infectious stage presence have made 3 Tons of Fun firm favourites with audiences at home and abroad.

Now they are inviting Cape Town audiences to join the celebration when 3 Tons of Fun perform live at Café Roux on Sunday, 6 December.

The show marks the beginning of the trio’s journey towards their official 20th anniversary in August 2027, and promises exactly what audiences have come to expect from 3 Tons of Fun: great songs, big voices, laughter, warmth and an irresistible feel-good atmosphere.

Over the past two decades, the trio have performed at glamorous corporate events, intimate venues, major stages and international engagements. Along the way there have been thousands of songs, fabulous outfits, countless laughs, memorable travels and friendships formed with audiences around the world.

Through all those experiences, one thing has remained constant — their genuine joy in performing together and making people happy.

The Café Roux show offers audiences the chance to experience that energy up close.

As the trio head towards their 20-year milestone, the celebrations will also provide an opportunity to look back at some of their favourite memories — the music, the people, the places, the outfits and the adventures that have shaped the 3 Tons of Fun story.

Most importantly, the anniversary belongs to the audiences who have supported them throughout their remarkable journey.
